Use case
Collect vehicles from auction and get them on site.
Post the auction or compound as the collection point, choose the destination, and manage quotes and proof on one movement.
The problem
After the hammer, storage charges and missed slots cost more than the road miles. Teams then send a transporter without a release process, a slot, or the right compound entrance.
How VMove is used for auction pickup
There is no separate auction product. Auction collection is a vehicle movement whose pickup is the auction centre or vendor compound. That is genuine platform support: any collection location can be posted.
Add the lot identity, collection window and release notes so the person arriving can actually take the vehicle. Proof of collection at the bay is the condition baseline for the journey to your site or customer.
Process
01
Confirm release
Payment and paperwork must allow the vehicle to leave.
02
Post the collection
Auction location, destination, VRM or lot, dates and access notes.
03
Award a transporter
They need enough detail to book the compound, not just a region.
04
Collect and deliver
POC at the auction, POD at the dealership or customer.
Benefits
Real collection point
Use the address the auction gives you, not a nickname.
Faster brief
Stop rewriting the same lot details for every operator you call.
Condition at pickup
Compound condition is not always block condition — photograph it.
Same platform as other dealer work
Auction, stock and customer jobs sit in the same operations view.
Common questions
Does VMove operate auctions?
No. You post a collection from the auction or compound location you have been given. A transporter fulfils the movement.
Can the vehicle go straight to a customer?
Yes — still collect from the auction, but treat the drop as a customer delivery so proof of delivery matches a retail handover.
What if the lot is not released yet?
Do not send a collection until the vehicle can actually be released. Put release notes on the job so the transporter is not turned away.
